Frequently Asked Questions
How much does concrete cost?
Countertops start at $90 per square foot for our standard 1 5/8” thick countertop. Pricing for countertops will vary depending on the design, edge type, finish, and so on. For a custom quote, fill out our request for quote form and we will be happy to give you a quote for your project. Use this form as well for pricing on sinks, tiles, fire bowls, concrete panels, and fireplace surrounds.
Will my concrete product stain?
Concrete is a porous substance and is susceptible to staining if not sealed properly. Because of this we seal all our concrete products with a highly stain and scratch resistant, water-based, zero VOC sealer. Under normal use it will not stain.
Will my concrete product crack?
We warranty our concrete products against cracking. Occasionally, your concrete piece will develop some extremely hairline cracks, sometimes called crazing, and it is usually considered a desirable trait of concrete. You can’t feel these cracks and they are completely sealed.
How long will it take to get my concrete product?
Expect to receive your concrete product in 3-4 weeks from templating or once the design is finalized. Allow an additional week for shipping.
Do you do residential and commercial work?
We’ve done residential and commercial projects throughout Colorado, and in several other states. See our commercial work at Stella’s Coffee Shop, Ellie’s Eco Home Center (transaction countertop), Diego Zhangs Burger Café, and The Center for Resource Conservation.
What concrete products do you make?
We make concrete sinks, countertops, tiles, shower pans, fire-bowls, fire-pits, and fireplace surrounds. We are constantly adding to our standard product list, but we are also a custom designs and fabrication shop.
Do you ship your products?
We have shipped products all over the country. Your concrete product will be crated and shipped LTL Freight and usually takes 2-4 days depending on your location.
How much does shipping usually cost?
Most of our concrete products can be shipped to you for between $100 and $200 depending on the size and delivery needs.
What sink designs can I choose from?
Most of our sink designs are displayed under loopSINKS >Integral Sinks. We are continually adding to our design catalog and we also offer complete custom sink design and fabrication services.
Do you have to template?
Generally, templating is a good idea if we are making your kitchen countertops or if the installation requires precise sizes. We work regularly off of plans and 2D and 3D renderings. Most bathroom vanity sinks usually do not need templates.
What is the difference between LOOP sinks and the rest or your products?
Our LOOP sinks are unique in that all LOOP products contain at least 50% recycled material from recycled concrete and recycled glass. Our standard concrete products are all made from local materials and we still replace 30% of our cement with fly ash, but they do not have as high of a recycled content. Our standard products have around 20% recycled content.
Will my concrete product help me earn LEED Credits toward LEED Certification? Yes! Because of the high recycled content it can contribute towards your Recycled Materials Credit and Regional Materials.
Aaron, the owner and founder of our company is a LEED Accredited Professional and can help you navigate how our products fit into the LEED system.
Can I get some samples?
Individual samples are available upon request. Our complete color sample set can be purchased for $100. If you are requesting a color sample for an architecture or design firm, be sure to let us know.
How do I take care of my new concrete product?
Your new concrete product has been factory sealed with the best concrete sealer available in the industry. It is extremely stain and scratch resistant. Treat it much the same as you would any porcelain, ceramic, or engineered sink surface. Don’t use solvents or abrasives to clean it. Use a mild surface cleaner for regular cleaning. We like Mrs. Meyers Clean Day a lot – it works and smells great and its safe for the whole family.
Do you Warranty your Products?
All our products are factory sealed and are warrantied against any defect in craftsmanship for a period of two years from installation. If it is determined that a product does not meet our standards and is in the warranty period we will repair or replace your concrete product at our discretion. If damage is caused by the owner during or after the warranty period we will do our best to make the repair for a reasonable fee. If the product must be returned to our studio for repairs, some transportation fees may apply.
